Ο Δήμαρχος Σοφάδων Μπάμπης Παπαδόπουλος μετά τη λήξη των διασυλλογικών ποδηλατικών αγώνων δρόμων αντοχής, δήλωσε:
«Ήταν για όλους μας μια πρωτόγνωρα ευχάριστη εμπειρία. Εκατόν είκοσι αθλητές απ’ όλη τη χώρα μαζί με τις οικογένειές τους επισκέφτηκαν τον τόπο μας χαρίζοντάς μας με τις προσπάθειες που κατέβαλαν ένα θέαμα και πολλές συγκινήσεις. Τους ευχαριστούμε θερμά για την παρουσία και τη συμμετοχή τους.
Θέλω να ευχαριστήσω επίσης όλους όσους βοήθησαν για τη διεξαγωγή των αγωνισμάτων και κυρίως όλους εκείνους που μόχθησαν για την ασφαλή τέλεσή τους.
Θέλω τέλος να ευχαριστήσω τον Ποδηλατικό Όμιλο Καρδίτσας για την ευκαιρία που μας έδωσε να διοργανώσουμε αυτούς τους αγώνες μυώντας μας ταυτόχρονα στα μυστικά του αθλήματος. Είμαστε στη διάθεση του ΠΟΚ για κάθε άλλη βοήθεια που ενδεχομένως χρειαστεί από το δήμο μας.»
