Όπως κάθε χρόνο τέτοιες μέρες, έτσι και φέτος, ο Αθλητικός Σύλλογος Παλαμά "Ευρύπυλος", διοργάνωσε εκδήλωση στο χώρο του λόφου της Μεταμόρφωσης του Σωτήρος (Σωτήρα) όπου έκοψε την πρωτοχρονιάτικη πίτα του, παρουσία πολλών μελών και φίλων του.
Η εκδήλωση έγινε –με σύμμαχο τον καιρό!!- το μεσημέρι της Κυριακής 19 Ιανουαρίου. Πριν την κοπή της πίτας, πραγματοποιήθηκε μια μικρή πεζοπορία μέχρι τις πηγές του όρους Τιτάνιο. Ακολούθησε φαγοπότι με λουκάνικα και σουβλάκια στα κάρβουνα, κρασιά και τσίπουρα, μουσική και χορό, μέχρι αργά το απόγευμα...
