Μεγάλη φωτιά ξέσπασε στο Αμπελικο Καρδίτσας σε δενδρώδη ημιορεινή περιοχή νοτιοανατολικά του ΔΔ Αμπελικου Καρδίτσας (περιοχή ‘’Αραπης’’) και εχει κάψει μέχρι στιγμής 500 περίπου στρέμματα δάσους κυρίως βελανιδιες.Μαχη δίνουν 5 οχήματα της πυροσβεστικής υπηρεσίας Καρδίτσας με 18 άντρες ώστε  να θέσουν υπο έλεγχο της φωτιά ενώ η άπνοια της περιοχής είναι ο σύμμαχος στις δυνάμεις πυρόσβεσης.
Η φωτιά είναι ακομη σε εξέλιξη και 4 περίπου μικρές κτηνοτροφικές μονάδες δεν κινδυνεύουν από τις εστίες της φωτιάς, αλλα έχει καεί όμως μεγάλο μέρος του δάσους που βρίσκετε μερικές εκατοντάδες μέτρα από στάνες και το ΔΔ Αμπελικου και τις πρώτες κατοικίες.
