Επίσκεψη στο Δήμο Καρδίτσας πραγματοποίησε την Πέμπτη 21/12 ο  Σεβασμιότατος Μητροπολίτης Θεσσαλιώτιδος & Φαναριοφερσάλων κ.Τιμόθεος, όπου συναντήθηκε με το Δήμαρχο κ. Φωτ. Αλεξάκο ανταλλάσσοντας ευχές ενόψει των Χριστουγέννων.

Πέρα από τον εθιμοτυπικό χαρακτήρα της συνάντησης κατά τη διάρκειά της οι δύο άνδρες συζήτησαν και για θέματα κοινού ενδιαφέροντος κυρίως για δράσεις αλληλεγγύης που υλοποιούνται από την Εκκλησία και το Δήμο για την ανακούφιση ασθενέστερων συμπολιτών επιβεβαιώνοντας τη διάθεση συνεργασίας και συμπόρευσης.
