Στόχος δολιοφθορέων  έγινε για μια ακόμη φορά το αθλητικό κέντρο του Δήμου Σοφάδων. Συγκεκριμένα το πρωί της Κυριακής  15 Δεκεμβρίου 2013, άγνωστοι  κατέστρεψαν τον εξωτερικό μαντρότοιχο παρακείμενα του καταυλισμού των Ρομά  αφαιρώντας περίπου 35 τσιμεντόλιθα τα οποία πήραν μαζί τους φεύγοντας.  


Ο Πρόεδρος του Δ.Ο.Π.Α.Π. Σοφάδων κ. Ευάγγελος Κομπογιάννης αφού μετέβη στις εγκαταστάσεις του σταδίου, κατέθεσε μηνυτήρια αναφορά κατ’ αγνώστων  και σε δήλωσή του για το περιστατικό ανέφερε :
«Το φαινόμενο πλέον αποκτά τρομακτικές διαστάσεις καθώς η περιουσία του Δήμου και των Σοφαδιτών για άλλη μία φορά  γίνεται στόχος ασυνείδητων οι οποίοι συνεχίζουν να  καταστρέφουν, να λεηλατούν και να κλέβουν τη δική τους περιουσία.
Η Δημοτική αρχή σε συνεργασία με την Αστυνομία θα κάνει ό,τι είναι δυνατόν έτσι ώστε να περιφρουρήσουν την περιουσία του Δήμου και να πληρώσουν οι υπεύθυνοι».
