Χθες (20-08-2016) και ώρα 12.10 στην Ε.Ο. Καρδίτσας-Λαμίας (διασταύρωση Νέου Ικονίου), έλαβε χώρα τροχαίο ατύχημα, όταν δίκυκλη μοτοσικλέτα που οδηγούσε 77χρονος ημεδαπός συγκρούστηκε με Ι.Χ. φορτηγό αυτοκίνητο που οδηγούσε 87χρονος ημεδαπός με αποτέλεσμα το σοβαρό τραυματισμό του οδηγού του δικύκλου.
 
Ο παθών μεταφέρθηκε στο Νοσοκομείο Καρδίτσας, όπου λίγη ώρα αργότερα κατέληξε.
 
Προανάκριση για τα αίτια και τις συνθήκες του ατυχήματος διενεργεί το Τμήμα Τροχαίας Καρδίτσας.
