Έφυγε πλήρης ημερών ο Κων/νος Μητσοτάκης, ένας από τους μεγαλύτερους πολιτικούς ηγέτες της μεταπολεμικής πολιτικής ιστορίας της πατρίδας μας. 

Θα μείνει στην ιστορία σαν ο πολιτικός που έβλεπε πέρα από την εποχή του, για τον ρεαλισμό του, την φιλελεύθερη προσέγγισή του, για το ότι μίλαγε πάντα χωρίς να υπολογίζει το πολιτικό κόστος.  Η γνωριμία μου μαζί του και η εκτίμησή του στο πρόσωπό μου, αποτελούσε και θα αποτελεί για μένα μεγάλη και ιδιαίτερη τιμή.  Ας είναι ελαφρύ το Κρητικό χώμα που θα τον σκεπάσει.
