Στο ¨Θεοδωρίδειο Κέντρο – Ορίζοντες¨ ξεκίνησε πρόγραμμα Κουκλοθέατρου από την εθελόντρια του Κέντρου κα. Ευγενία Μπασδέκη – νηπιαγωγό-. Η τέχνη του κουκλοθέατρου προσφέρει στο παιδί ερεθίσματα  που το εμπλουτίζουν ψυχικά, συναισθηματικά, νοητικά, γνωστικά. Ξεκινώντας από την κατασκευή κούκλας ελευθερώνει τη φαντασία, συντονίζει την κινητικότητα, αναπτύσσει λεπτές κινήσεις, ενισχύει τον πειραματισμό, την εξερεύνηση με το περιβάλλον και τα υλικά. Καλλιεργεί την ευρηματικότητα και την αισθητική. Δίνει διέξοδο στην εκφραστικότητα και τη δημιουργικότητα. Έτσι η τέχνη του κουκλοθέατρου αποτελεί ένα σημαντικό μέσο ψυχαγωγίας για όλους μας.
