Όπως και το 2024 στη Ρώμη, έτσι και στο Μπέρμιγχαμ το 2026, η ελληνική ομάδα στη σκυταλοδρομία 4Χ100 μ., θα τρέξει στο μεγάλο τελικό του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος.

Μόνο που αυτή τη φορά δεν περίμενε ως πρώτη επιλχούσα την ακύρωση μιας άλλης ομάδας, αλλά τα κατάφερε με το σπαθί της παίρνοντας την απ’ ευθείας πρόκριση και, μάλιστα, με θέση. Η τετράδα των Γιάννη Βοσκόπουλου, Νικόλα Παναγιωτόπουλου, Σωτήρη Γκαραγκάνη και Βασίλη Μυριανθόπουλου, τρέχοντας από το «2» κατάφερε να τερματίσει στην τρίτη προνομιούχο θέση με χρόνο 39.17, μόλις δύο χιλιοστά μπροστά από την τέταρτη Πολωνία.
