Το έθιμο με τα κάλαντα των Φώτων αναβίωσε σήμερα στην κεντρική πλατειά της Καρδίτσας με τα ρογκατσάρια από πολιτιστικούς συλλόγους της Καρδίτσας αναβίωσε σήμερα στην κεντρική πλατεία της Καρδίτσας.

Το έθιμο θέλει τα κάλαντα να έχουν στοίχους, οι οποίοι από σπίτι σε σπίτι να εύχονται ξεχωριστά σε κάθε οικογένεια την μακροημέρευση του κάθε σπιτιού και κάθε νοικοκύρη και τα τραγούδια πολλές φορές όπως είναι φυσικό να μεταφέρουν ευχές στους ξενιτεμένους του κάθε σπιτιού.
Οι στοίχοι και τα τραγούδια των ρογκατσαρέων σήμερα ηταν επίκαιροι παρά ποτέ.
