Το κέντρο φιλοξενίας στο πρώην Δημοτικό σχολείο επισκέφτηκε σήμερα ο Μητροπολίτης Θεσσαλιώτιδος και Φαναριοφερσάλων κ.κ.Τιμόθεος όπου φιλοξενεί προσφυγικές οικογένειες και παιδιά .
Ο Σεβασμιότατος από την πρώτη στιγμή βρέθηκε κοντά στους πρόσφυγες και δήλωσε την αμέριστη στήριξη στις πράξεις ανθρωπιάς που έχουν ανάγκη εθελοντές της ομάδας ΔΙΚΤΥΟ ΑΛΛΗΛΕΓΓΥΗΣ ΓΙΑ ΟΛΟΥΣ  ,συμπολιτες που προσφέρουν εθελοντικά την βοήθεια τους ,άλλα και οι πρόσφυγες και τα παιδιά των προσφύγων.
Ο κύριος Τιμόθεος δήλωσε ότι θα είναι στο πλευρό και σε αυτή την ανάγκη που έχουν συνάνθρωποι μας και θα υποστηρίζει τις πράξεις ανθρωπιάς και αγάπης ενώ συζητησε με τους εθελοντες και ενημερώθηκε για τις ανάγκες και και εξεδήλωσε το ενδιαφέρον ώστε να συνδράμει και η Μητρόπολη κυρίως στις ανάγκες τροφίμων και φυσικά σε ότι ελλείψεις εμφανιστούν και υπάρχει η δυνατότητα να βοηθήσει έμπρακτα και η Εκκλησία στο έργο της φιλοξενίας
