Τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία είχε, πριν από λίγο, ο πρωθυπουργός, Αλέξης Τσίπρας με τον Πρόεδρο του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου, Ντόναλντ Τουσκ, σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση του Γραφείου Τύπου του πρωθυπουργού.

Ο πρωθυπουργός ζήτησε, ειδικότερα, το Ευρωπαϊκό Συμβούλιο, το οποίο θα συνέλθει το διήμερο 20-21 Ιουνίου, να καταδικάσει απερίφραστα τις παράνομες ενέργειες της Τουρκίας στην κυπριακή ΑΟΖ.

Επιπλέον, ο πρωθυπουργός τόνισε ότι το Ευρωπαϊκό Συμβούλιο πρέπει να εξετάσει συγκεκριμένα μέτρα κατά των εμπλεκόμενων στις παράνομες δραστηριότητες, εφόσον η Τουρκία επιμείνει στην παραβίαση του διεθνούς δικαίου.
