Τον Δήμαρχο Καρδίτσας  κ. Βασίλη Τσιάκο επισκέφθηκε το  μεσημέρι της Δευτέρας στο γραφείο του, ο Σεβασμιότατος Μητροπολίτης κ. κ. Τιμόθεος. 

Ο Σεβασμιότατος ευχήθηκε στο Δήμαρχο καλή και δημιουργική θητεία προς όφελος των δημοτών της Καρδίτσας και δήλωσε ότι πάντα η Ιερά Μητρόπολη στηρίζει το έργο της Δημοτικής αρχής. Ο κ. Δήμαρχος ευχαρίστησε το σεβασμιότατο για την επίσκεψη και τις ευχές του. Πρόσθεσε ακόμη ότι  η Ιερά Μητρόπολη υπό την ηγεσία του φωτισμένου μας ποιμενάρχη έχει αναπτύξει πολύ μεγάλη δράση στο φιλανθρωπικό έργο και θα έχει άριστη συνεργασία με τη δημοτική αρχή με στόχο να στηρίζονται επαρκώς οι ευπαθείς κοινωνικές ομάδες. Επίσης ο δήμαρχος υπογράμμισε ότι η Ιερά Μητρόπολη πάντα  συμμετέχει και στηρίζει τις πολύπλευρες δράσεις του Δήμου.
