Μεγάλη επιτυχία σημείωσε η εκδήλωση με θέμα ΄΄Οστεοπόρωση – Οστεοαρθρίτιδες. Πρόληψη – αρχές θεραπείας΄΄» που πραγματοποίησε, το απόγευμα της Κυριακής 16 Νοεμβρίου, στην αίθουσα εκδηλώσεων της Δημοτικής Πινακοθήκης Καρδίτσας, το Παράρτημα Καρδίτσας της Ένωσης Γυναικών Ελλάδας – Τομέας Υγείας και Ποιότητας Ζωής.

 Ομιλητής ήταν ο κ. Αθανάσιος Πασσιάς, ορθοπεδικός, μέλος της Ε.Ε.Μ.Μ.Ο., ο οποίος με πολύ απλά λόγια ανέλυσε τόσο τα συμπτώματα, όσο και τους κινδύνους της οστεοπόρωσης και της οστεοαρθρίτιδας, ενώ παράλληλα επεσήμανε το ρόλο της πρόληψης.
 Ακολούθησε συζήτηση με το κοινό το οποίο είχε τη δυνατότητα να διατυπώσει τις ερωτήσεις και τους προβληματισμούς του καταδεικνύοντας το πόσο μεγάλη ανάγκη έχει για τέτοιου είδους εκδηλώσεις.
