Θανατηφόρο τροχαίο σημειώθηκε στο 1ο χλμ της Επαρχιακής Οδού Καρδίτσας - Τρικάλων.

Συγκεκριμένα, σύμφωνα με την αστυνομία, Ι.Χ. επιβατικό αυτοκίνητο που οδηγούσε 25χρονος με συνεπιβάτη 21χρονο, εξετράπη της πορείας του, εισήλθε στο αντίθετο ρεύμα κυκλοφορίας και προσέκρουσε σε κολώνα ηλεκτροφωτισμού, με αποτέλεσμα το θανάσιμο τραυματισμό του συνεπιβάτη και το σοβαρό τραυματισμό του οδηγού.

Προανάκριση για τα αίτια και τις συνθήκες του ατυχήματος διενεργεί το Τμήμα Τροχαίας Καρδίτσας.
