Με την υπογραφή σχετικής απόφασης εγκρίθηκε το πρόγραμμα οικονομικών αποζημιώσεων και ενισχύσεων, που προκύπτουν από την επιβολή κτηνιατρικών μέτρων εξυγίανσης του ζωικού κεφαλαίου της χώρας. Το πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει διερεύνηση, πρόληψη, επιτήρηση, έλεγχος, εκρίζωση και έκτακτες επεμβάσεις.

«Η επιχορήγηση των εκτροφέων βοοειδών, προβάτων ή αιγών που προσκομίζουν στις αρμόδιες κτηνιατρικές αρχές νεκρά ζώα ηλικίας άνω των 18 μηνών για τις αίγες και τα πρόβατα και 24 ή 48 μηνών για τα βοοειδή, σύμφωνα με τις Υπουργικές Αποφάσεις 4133/128633/18-11-2013 (Β` 2904) και 4132/128617/11-11-2013 (Β` 2863) αντίστοιχα, ανεξαρτήτως αιτιολογίας θανάτου και εφόσον δεν έχουν παρέλθει 48 ώρες από το θάνατο του ζώου, προκειμένου να εξεταστούν για ΜΣΕ. Το ποσό επιχορήγησης καθορίζεται σε εκατόν είκοσι ευρώ (120,00€) για τα βοοειδή και σε τριάντα ευρώ (30,00€) για αίγες ή πρόβατα», αναφέρεται στην απόφαση.
