Με αφορμή ερωτήματα σχετικά με τις κοπές δένδρων σε κοινόχρηστους χώρους,  τις οποίες πραγματοποιεί κατά καιρούς η Υπηρεσία Πρασίνου του Δήμου, ενημερώνονται οι δημότες οτι αυτές γίνονται για λόγους ασφαλείας κατόπιν απόφασης της Επιτροπής Ποιότητας Ζωής, όπου συζητείται η σχετική εισήγηση της Υπηρεσίας, τα δε προϊόντα της υλοτομίας (ξύλα) δίνονται μέσω της Αντιδημαρχίας  Εθελοντισμού - Ειδικών Πληθυσμιακών - Κοινωνικών Ομάδων - Αλληλεγγύης σε οικογένειες που είναι εγγεγραμμένες στο Κοινωνικό Μητρώο Απόρων του Δήμου.
