Στην αναρρυθμιστική λίμνη στην Μητρόπολη εκατοντάδες πιστοί και επισκέπτες παρακολούθησαν τον Αγιασμό των υδάτων και τη καθιερωμένη κατάδυση του Τιμίου Σταυρού. Την τελετή του όρθρου και τον Αγιασμό τέλεσε ο μητροπολίτης Θεσσαλιώτιδος και Φαναριοφερσάλων κ.κ. Τιμόθεος

Παρέστησαν, ο Υπουργός Δικαιοσύνης Κώστας Τσιάρας οι βουλευτές ΝΔ Γιώργος Κωτσός και Ασημίνα Σκόνδρα, ο αντιπεριφερειάρχης Κώστας Νιούσος,Οι δήμαρχοι Καρδίτσας Βασίλης Τσιάκος, Πλαστήρα Παναγιώτης Νάνος ο Θεματικός αντιπεριφερειάρχης Νίκος Καραγιάννης αρχές των σωμάτων ασφαλείας και στρατιωτικές αρχές.

Για δεύτερη χρονιά τον σταυρό έπιασε πρώτος ο 20χρονος Θωμάς Παπαδόπουλος
