Με απόφαση της Δημοτικής αρχής Καρδίτσας και κατόπιν συνεννόησης με την Πρωτοβάθμια και την Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση, την Πέμπτη 18 Φεβρουαρίου τα σχολεία της Πρωτοβάθμιας και Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης λόγω των  χαμηλών θερμοκρασιών που επικρατούν, θα λειτουργήσουν από τις 10 π.μ και μέχρι το τέλος του ωραρίου. Σε ότι αφορά το Εσπερινό θα λειτουργήσει μέχρι στις 8:30 μμ. Την Παρασκευή η έναρξη θα γίνει στο σύνηθες ωράριο. Οι  δημοτικοί παιδικοί και Βρεφονηπιακοί σταθμοί θα λειτουργήσουν κανονικά. Παρακαλούνται οι δημότες τις πρώτες πρωινές ώρες καθώς επικρατούν συνθήκες παγετού να είναι προσεκτικοί στις μετακινήσεις τους.
