Πλήθος κόσμου έχει συγκεντρωθεί στις λαϊκές αγορές όπου παραγωγοί και λιανοπωλητές μοιράζουν δωρεάν τα προϊόντα τους, σε μία κίνηση διαμαρτυρίας απέναντι στις ρυθμίσεις που προωθεί η κυβέρνηση για τη λειτουργία των αγορών αυτών. Ο συνωστισμός είναι μεγάλος και δημιουργείται σημαντικό πρόβλημα και στη κυκλοφορία των αυτοκινήτων στους παρακείμενους δρόμους, όπου πραγματοποιούνται οι κινητοποιήσεις αυτές. 
Στη λαϊκή αγορά του Κολωνού, ο πάγκος που έστησαν οι παραγωγοί έπεσε από την πίεση του κόσμου να πάρει τα δωρεάν φρούτα και λαχανικά, ενώ και σε άλλες λαϊκές δημιουργήθηκαν σκηνές έντασης.
 
Υπενθυμίζεται ότι οι παραγωγοί που πωλούν τα προϊόντα τους στις λαϊκές αγορές διαμαρτυρόμενοι για το σχέδιο νόμου που προωθεί η κυβέρνηση, ανακοίνωσαν ότι θα μοιράσουν δωρεάν σήμερα τα προϊόντα τους στους καταναλωτές και θα τους ενημερώσουν για τις επιπτώσεις του νέου νομοσχεδίου στη συρρίκνωση των λαϊκών αγορών. Αύριο, Πέμπτη 1 Μαΐου, δηλώνουν ότι θα συμμετάσχουν στην πρωτομαγιάτικη απεργιακή συγκέντρωση μαζί με τους εργαζόμενους, τους αυτοαπασχολούμενους και τους συνταξιούχους.
