Τη στήριξη της Δημοκρατικής Αριστεράς προς τους εργαζομένους στα καταστήματα της Sprider Stores Α.Ε., εξέφρασε ο βουλευτής του κόμματος, Γιώργος Κυρίτσης, που παρέστη στην τριμερή σύσκεψη που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Υπουργείο Εργασίας τη Δευτέρα 7 Οκτωβρίου 2013.
Κύριο αντικείμενο της σύσκεψης, που διεξήχθη με τη συμμετοχή του υφυπουργού Εργασίας Βασίλη Κεγκέρογλου, της Γενικής Γραμματέως του Υπουργείου Άννας Στρατινάκη, εκπροσώπου της εταιρείας και εκπροσώπων των εργαζομένων, αποτέλεσε η εξεύρεση λύσης για την καταβολή των δεδουλευμένων που οφείλονται στους εργαζόμενους καθώς και των αποζημιώσεών τους, μετά την αναστολή στη λειτουργία των καταστημάτων της επιχείρησης.
Ο κ. Κυρίτσης, ως εκπρόσωπος της ΔΗΜ.ΑΡ., μιλώντας στους εργαζόμενους τόνισε: «Κατανοώ τις δύσκολες ώρες που περνάτε. Θα πρέπει άμεσα να καταβληθούν τα δεδουλευμένα και οι αποζημιώσεις που σας οφείλονται. Επίσης, θα πρέπει να εξαντλήσουμε κάθε περιθώριο για να βρεθεί λύση που θα διασφαλίζει τα εργασιακά σας δικαιώματα. Η Δημοκρατική Αριστερά στέκεται στο πλευρό σας».
