Άγιο είχαν στο πλευρό τους, οι οδηγοί των δύο  ΙΧ επιβατικών αυτοκινήτων που συγκρούστηκαν πλαγιομετωπικά σήμερα στις 17.30 περίπου το απόγευμα, στην Ε.Ο. Καρδίτσας – Αθηνών, κοντά στην είσοδο της πόλης.
Σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες πληροφορίες, πρόκειται για έναν ηλικιωμένο άνδρα από την Καρδίτσα και έναν 50χρονο Τρικαλινό, οι οποίοι διακομίσθηκαν με δυο ασθενοφόρα του ΕΚΑΒ στο νοσοκομείο της πόλης και δεν διατρέχει κίνδυνο η ζωή τους.
Στο σημείο έσπευσε δύναμη της Τροχαίας Καρδίτσας, αστυνομικοί της Ομάδας ΔΙΑΣ και δυο πυροσβεστικά οχήματα από την υπηρεσία της Καρδίτσας με τέσσερις άνδρες.
