Τη διοργάνωση για πρώτη φορά στα χρονικά κοινού συνεδρίου της Ένωσης Περιφερειών Ελλάδας (ΕΝΠΕ) και της Κεντρικής Ένωσης Δήμων Ελλάδας (ΚΕΔΕ) αποφάσισε το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο της ΕΝΠΕ στη σημερινή του συνεδρίαση.

Το συνέδριο πρόκειται να πραγματοποιηθεί το διήμερο 18 και 19 Απριλίου στην Αθήνα (ξενοδοχείο Caravel, αίθουσα Olympia) με θέμα: «Η Μεταρρύθμιση στη Λειτουργία του Κράτους - Τοπική και Περιφερειακή Ανάπτυξη».

Στο συνέδριο η Ένωση Περιφερειών Ελλάδας πρόκειται να παρουσιάσει εισήγηση για κατάρτιση σχεδίου νόμου με θέμα: «Επανασχεδιασμός της Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης Β’ Βαθμού. Μετάβαση από την Περιφερειακή και την Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση στην Περιφερειακή Διακυβέρνηση».
