Το Δ.Σ. της ΠΕΔ Θεσσαλίας συνεδρίασε στις 2-7-2019  προκειμένου να εκλέξει νέο Πρόεδρο, μετά την παραίτηση του κ. Γεωργ. Κωτσού ο οποίος συμμετέχει  στις εθνικές εκλογές ως υποψήφιος βουλευτής. 

 Με την ολοκλήρωση της εκλογικής διαδικασίας νέος Πρόεδρος του Δ.Σ της ΠΕΔ Θεσσαλίας εξελέγη ο κ. Μουλάς  Γεώργιος , Πρόεδρος του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου του Δήμου Βόλου , Αντιπρόεδρος η κ. Ειρήνη ( Ρένα ) Καραλαριώτου, επικεφαλής μείζονος αντιπολίτευσης του Δήμου Λαρισαίων, Γραμματέας ο κ. Καλαμπαλίκης Κων/νος , δημοτικός σύμβουλος  του Δήμου Λαρισαίων.
