Η Αναγέννηση του Γιάννη Μπουρούση πηρε την ανοδο  , κερδίζοντας πανάξια τον τίτλο στον 4ο όμιλο της National League 2 και, μαζί, την άνοδο στην National League 1 μετά από μια τριετία, επικρατώντας άνετα του Σύλλα Αιδηψού στην Καρδίτσα με 77-55 και συνεχίζοντας να ονειρεύεται.Το 25-12 της πρώτης περιόδου ήταν ήδη ενδεικτικό για το ποια θα ήταν η πορεία του παιχνιδιού, με τους παίκτες του Βασίλη Κρομμύδα να ξεκινούν εντυπωσιακά, ενώ παρότι ο Σύλλας επιχείρησε σε σημεία του αγώνα να ανακάμψει και να δείξει, ότι είχε σφυγμό, η ποιοτική ανωτερότητα των Θεσσαλών ήταν τέτοια, που η άνοδος δύσκολα θα χανόταν, κάτι που αποδείχθηκε όσο περνούσε η ώρα, παίρνοντας την νίκη με το ευρύ +22 (77-55), με τον άλλοτε διεθνή σέντερ να ολοκληρώνει με φοβερό double double 25 πόντων και 19 ριμπάουντ.
