«Όχι» σε νέα παράταση της αναστολής των πλειστηριασμών για την πρώτη κατοικία και το 2015 λέει η κυβέρνηση, κλείνοντας από μέρους της κάθε παραθυράκι να κατατεθεί έστω και την τελευταία στιγμή από το υπουργείο Ανάπτυξης σχετική τροπολογία για παράταση του μέτρου 15 ημέρες πριν από τη λήξη της προθεσμίας στις 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2014.

Παρά τις επιφυλάξεις μερίδας βουλευτών τόσο της ΝΔ όσο και του ΠΑΣΟΚ που έχουν εκφράσει κατά τους προηγούμενους μήνες την πρόθεσή τους να στηρίξουν μια πρόταση για παράταση της αναστολής των πλειστηριασμών, εκτιμώντας ότι ακόμη είναι νωρίς για απελευθέρωση και μετάβαση σε νέο καθεστώς αλλά και τις αντιδράσεις της αντιπολίτευσης, η ηγεσία του υπουργείου Ανάπτυξης  δεν επεξεργάζεται κανένα τέτοιο σενάριο αλλά παραπέμπει στον Κώδικα Δεοντολογίας της ΤτΕ και στον νόμο για τα υπερχρεωμένα νοικοκυριά.
