Πρόγραμμα ψεκασμών για κωνωποκτονία υλοποιεί ο Δήμος Καρδίτσας.

Οι ψεκασμοί ξεκίνησαν σε πρώτη φάση να πραγματοποιούνται σε κανάλια-τάφρους και σημεία με στάσιμα νερά περιμετρικά της πόλης της Καρδίτσας και τις επόμενες ημέρες θα συνεχιστούν εντός της πόλης, στα φρεάτια του δικτύου ομβρίων.   

    Οι ψεκασμοί διενεργούνται από ειδικό συνεργείο με σύγχρονες μεθόδους, με τη χρήση σκευασμάτων εγκεκριμένων από τις αρμόδιες αρχές, ενώ λαμβάνονται όλα τα μέτρα προφύλαξης.
