Ο αρμόδιος αναπληρωτής υπουργός Υγείας Μάριος Σαλμάς παρουσίασε σήμερα, το νέο σύστημα παρακολούθησης και ελέγχου των φαρμακευτικών προϊόντων, το οποίο θα ισχύσει από την ερχόμενη Δευτέρα και από την εφαρμογή του οποίου "αν τηρηθεί αυστηρά" θα εξοικονομηθούν περίπου 100 εκατ. ευρώ.

Σύμφωνα με το νέο σύστημα ηλεκτρονικής παρακολούθησης όλων των φαρμάκων που κυκλοφορούν, το οποίο εφαρμόζεται για πρώτη φορά παγκοσμίως, ο Εθνικός Οργανισμός Φαρμάκων (ΕΟΦ), θα είναι παρών σε ολόκληρη την αλυσίδα διανομής, από την εισαγωγή ή παραγωγή ενός φαρμάκου έως και την αγορά του στο φαρμακείο από τον πολίτη.
